I’m feeling a bit sick today so I prepared myself a hot cup of milk with honey and butter. Then, I made some brown butter and poured it on top for a thick nutty layer on top of the frosty milk – it was divine!
As part of my “1 pastry/week” attempt, I made Ruby Tandoh’s saffron glazed buns yesterday. They didn’t come out well at all and I had to throw the entire batch out, but at least I only made half. I’m not too sure what went wrong, but they were not very soft or chewy. Perhaps I’ll make the milk bread buns with saffron milk instead.
