What I Didn’t Like
This chili is very very good. But I still think there’s something I can add to it. Still can’t figure out what though.
I don’t like super hot dishes, so I passed on the jalapeno peppers.
Used only 1 onion instead of two, cuz I’m too lazy to dice two onions! Also, two felt like too much for the meat ratio.
Substituted beef broth for water, for extra flavor.
Added 1/2 tsp of mustard powder, because I like it.
This recipe makes TONS of leftovers. Maybe a bit less if your family is anywhere >2, but still. As long as I don’t need to worry about dinner / work lunch for a day or two, I’m satisfied. While I love cooking, sometimes it’s so nice not to cook while still having good food to feed my constantly hungry boyfriend. Seriously, are they ever not hungry?
